OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of production. A garment certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100 has been tested for over 100 harmful substances including pesticides, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and allergenic dyes.
European retailers and brands are legally required to ensure their products do not contain harmful substances under EU REACH regulations. OEKO-TEX certification provides documented proof that the garments are safe for consumers. In the UK, USA, and Australia, major retail chains and e-commerce platforms increasingly require OEKO-TEX certification as a supplier qualification criterion.
Class I covers products for babies and toddlers up to 3 years. Class II covers products with direct skin contact for adults. Class III covers products without direct skin contact.
